Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Minor

As demographics are rapidly changing throughout the United States, there is increased need for qualified teachers of English as a Second Language. The TESOL minor will provide those students seeking a K-12 education degree with increased employment opportunities throughout the U.S. In addition, this minor is beneficial to graduates pursuing careers in fields like business, social work, counseling, social services, technical writing, and higher education. The TESOL minor will also allow graduates wishing to spend time abroad to seek work as teachers of English as a Foreign Language.
