Athletic Coaching Minor

Minor Requirements - 25 semester hours

HLTH 422 - Nutrition 3 semester hours
PE 250 - Human Anatomy & Physiology 3 semester hours
PE 250L - Human Anatomy & Physiology Lab 1 semester hours
PE 350 - Exercise Physiology 2 to 3 semester hours
PE 353 - Kinesiology 2 to 3 semester hours
PE 354 - Prevention & Care of Athletic Injuries 2 to 3 semester hours
PE 454 - Biomechanics 2 to 3 semester hours

Take one of the following coaching methods

PE 470 - Coaching Basketball 1 to 2 semester hours
PE 471 - Coaching Football 1 to 2 semester hours
PE 473 - Coaching Track & Field/Cross Country 1 to 2 semester hours
PE 474 - Coaching Wrestling 1 to 2 semester hours
PE 475 - Coaching Volleyball 1 to 2 semester hours

Take two of the following courses

PE 440 - Organization & Administration of HPER/A 2 to 3 semester hours
or
PE 453 - Sport Psychology 2 to 3 semester hours
or
an additional coaching methods from above
