Note - Research

Every year, faculty who are interested in mentoring a student in research will present research or discuss the areas of research in which they plan to mentor at a seminar. The student will pick a faculty mentor based on research interests, and the mentor and student together will choose two other faculty to serve on the student’s committee. The committee will determine the elective courses for the minor.

Program Requirements

Restricted Electives - 12 semester hours

Twelve semester hours of electives not from the major, but supportive courses selected by the committee. Since there is no Physics major in the curriculum, it is anticipated students majoring in mathematics, chemistry, environmental physical science, or biology may select this minor.
