The art curricula stress the following objectives: 1) To meet the needs of those who are preparing to be teachers; 2) To provide the opportunity for students to pursue a professional course of study in Visual Arts; 3) To provide cultural experiences to students to develop an appreciation for art; 4) To provide the opportunity for students to pursue a professional course of study in communication arts. Note to Students - All graduating senior art majors are required to organize and present an exhibit of their artwork. The art faculty may, at their discretion, select one work produced by a graduating art student for the department’s permanent collection.
The Bachelor of Arts degree requires students to take 4 semesters of the same foreign language.

- Gen Ed - Natural Sciences & Labs (2 classes/labs) - 6-8 semester hours
- WEL 100 & 100L
Minor
A minor is required with this major plus electives to total 120 hours, of which 36 hours must be 300-400 level courses. |
