Every year, faculty who are interested in mentoring a student in research will present research or discuss the areas of research in which they plan to mentor at a seminar. The student will pick a faculty mentor based on research interests, and the mentor and student together will choose two other faculty to serve on the student’s committee. The committee will determine the elective courses for the minor.

Program Requirements

• RESR 498 - Undergraduate Research/Scholarship

• 6 semester hours

• Research in Statistics

• No more than three semester hours per semester. Work will be entirely with the faculty mentor.

• MCOM 488 - Research Communication

• To include advanced desktop publishing, oral communication, word processing & general photography techniques.
