Research - Biology

Students who have completed Biology 150, 151, 151L, 153, 153L (Principles of Biology, General Biology I and II with laboratories), MATH 102/102L (College Algebra and Lab), and one year of chemistry with an average grade point of 3.0 in these classes and who have permission from their faculty mentor will be admitted into the research minor.

Note - Research
Every year, faculty who are interested in mentoring a student in research will present research or discuss the areas of research in which they plan to mentor at a seminar. The student will pick a faculty mentor based on research interests, and the mentor and student together will choose two other faculty to serve on the student’s committee. The committee will determine the elective courses for the minor. Statistics - 6 semester hours
Any two courses for which the student has the prerequisites. Supportive Electives - 6 semester hours
Courses not required in the major, but courses selected by the committee. |
