LAKL 101 - Introductory Lakota ICommon Course Number & Description This course is an introduction to the Lakota language. Emphasis is placed on the basic sounds of the Lakota language, correct pronunciation, and orthography used to represent those sounds. The course includes a focus on male/female speech patterns, kinship terms, other ordinary environmental and cultural contexts, and basic sentence structure.
