  • MUS 345 - Vocal Pedagogy and Literature

    Unique Course
    A course designed to help students gain a better understanding of the vocal mechanism, its physiology and correct usage. Students will study the basic techniques of singing and methods for the teaching of singing. Topics such as acoustics, breathing, registration, resonance, vowels, articulation and the developing voice will be explored. In addition, students will survey the Art Song with an emphasis on song literature particularly suitable for school age pupils.

    This course explores the foundations of outdoor education, including the history and evolution of the field.     This course provides students the knowledge and skills necessary to plan, teach, and evaluate quality environmental education.  Students discuss the history, definition, and goals of environmental education and develop an understanding of the professional roles and instructional methods.  Students become trained in nationally recognized environmental education curricula and apply course content through outdoor teaching experience.
