Legal Studies Minor

Students who minor in Legal Studies must have twelve credits unique to the minor, that are not shared with the major or any other minor. After that, double counting between the major and the minor is allowed. For example, a Political Science major could only take two of the political science courses in the legal studies minor. The rest of this student’s Legal Studies courses must come from disciplines other than political science.

Minor Requirements - 18 semester hours

BADM 350 - Legal Environment of Business 3 semester hours
POLS 263 - Intro to Political Theory 3 semester hours
SOC 201 - Introduction to Criminal Justice 3 semester hours
Choose one from the following:
PHIL 200 - Introduction to Logic 3 semester hours
PHIL 220 - Introduction to Ethics 3 semester hours
Take two of the following:
BADM 351 - Business Law 3 semester hours
CMST 222 - Argumentation and Debate 3 semester hours
POLS 401 - United States Institutions 3 semester hours
POLS 417 - American Indian Government & Politics 3 semester hours
POLS 430 - Constitutional Law 3 semester hours
POLS 494 - Internship 1 to 12 semester hours (3 Credits)
SOC 351 - Criminology 3 semester hours
