HIST 565 - Westward Expansion of the U.S. CRSE Type: Unique Course A study of the role of The West in American History from the
founding of the colonies through 1900. Special areas of emphasis
are the territorial expansion of the U.S., the various frontier
developments; transportation, the transformation of the wilderness
into statehood, the influence of the frontier in shaping the
American character and the role of the West in national policies. 3 semester hours
