  • MSL 480 - Advanced Small Unit Leadership

    Common Course Number & Description
    Provides practical experience in small unit leadership development, team building, and officers' technical/tactical skills, including rifle marksmanship, orienteering, mountaineering, weapons proficiency, physical training, and small unit leadership skills.
    Note: May be repeated for a maximum of four (4) credit hours.

  • MSL 491 - Advanced Internship in Leadership

    Common Course Number & Description
    Includes directed study, problems, readings, directed readings, special problems and special projects. Students complete individualized plans of study which include significant one-on-one student-teacher involvement. The faculty member and students negotiate the details of the study plans. Enrollments are usually 10 or fewer students. Meetings depending upon the requirements of the topic.

    An introductory class into music technology as it is used in sound reinforcement systems and recording systems.  This course is a basic introduction to sound mixers, microphones, speakers, multi-track recording, and effects processors.  This course is open to all students regardless of major but is geared toward music majors and minors.  Music reading is not a prerequisite or requirement.

  • MUS 341 - Vocal Pedagogy and Literature

    Unique Course
    A course designed to help students gain a better understanding of the vocal mechanism, its physiology and correct usage. Students will study the basic techniques of singing and methods for the teaching of singing. Topics such as acoustics, breathing, registration, resonance, vowels, articulation and the developing voice will be explored. In addition, students will survey the Art Song with an emphasis on song literature particularly suitable for school age pupils.
